Ephesians 3:16-19 NLT
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

This is an ”active” not ”passive” activity that takes effort on our part.
What activity is required on our end?
We need to get deep into the Word of God, not out of duty but out of a burning desire to get to know Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior.
”Then Christ will make His home in your heart ❤️ as you trust Him.”
How do you get to the point of trusting anyone?
You start to trust someone when you get to know them. Trust in a relationship generally increases when you get to know someone better.
There is only one way to get to know Jesus better, and that is to get into His Word with a humble and submitted heart.
”Your roots will grow down into to God’s love and keep you strong.”
How does a plant remain healthy, it’s roots are deep and constantly getting nourishment from life-giving water, and we have that life-giving water in the Word of God.
John 15:5-8 NLT
”Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

When you remain in God’s Word, you will find that your desire will shift from your desires for the things of this world and will start to be focused on getting others to know the saving grace found in Jesus Christ and the most persuasive witness before others will be your changed life due to your willingness to being in God’s Word and allowing it to change your mind, which will change your heart and your heart will start to direct your behavior.
This only happens from exposing your mind to His life-changing words.
Heavenly Father, please give me the desire to get to know You through Your words. Make this desire unshakable and of the highest priority in my life.
Understanding that when I put You first, You will faithfully live in my heart, directing my mind, heart, and soul in this fallen world.
I pray my life is changing and that my life is an example of the change that others will take notice of and know that it is solely by the work of Your saving grace.
I ask You to reveal in my heart all unresolved sin and give me the strength, courage, and willingness to make the necessary changes that will glorify Your holy name.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for Your continued love and grace, Amen!! 🙏❤️
