JHN.15.2_NIV

Are You Rooted In The One Source That Has The Power Of God To Change Your Life?

John 8:47 NLT
Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.”

People who know me well, if asked about me, will say, “He loves to read the Bible!”

And that would be a true statement.

I believe it is the single most important spiritual discipline that a follower of Jesus Christ should develop in their lives.

Being in the Word of God is the one place where we will find our identity about our place before God and where we find how we are to look at and treat others.

Some will say to me that “praying” is also very important. The question I always ask with that statement is, “Where do you come up with that idea?”

James 5:16-18 NLT
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.

The answer will always come back with a statement like this, “Well, it’s written in the ______________.”

Some will say to me, “Well, it’s also important that we live out our faith as a good example.”

James 1:22 NLT
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

Again, I say, “Where do you come up with that idea?”

The response is “Well it’s written in the _______________ .”

When you fill in the blank, you always come back to the Bible.

It is the one place where you can find the answers to any relational challenge that you face, whether the problem is between you and God or you and others.

If you are challenged in a relationship with others, you will find the source of that challenge in your relationship with God.

John 15:4-8 NLT
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word.

I pray that You continue to give me the unquenchable desire to remain in Your Word all the days of my life.

I pray that You reveal to me the changes that I need to make in my thinking that brings about the results that You desire.

I pray that my life is a reflection of the love that You provide and that I am compassionate to the needs of those around me.

I pray that You give me the strength and courage to minister to those needs.

I pray that You give me the strength and courage to be a light in my workplace and that I am a picture of the model employee representing You.

I thank You for the people you place in my path and that I am ready to forgive and full of unfailing love for all who ask for my help.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!! 🙏❤️
