2 Corinthians 6:3-4 NLT
We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind.
Be careful, Christian!
God’s Word is not meant to be confusing. It is intended to be very straight forward and easy to understand.
But God’s Word does require that we spend time with it. It requires constant study and meditation.
Joshua 1:8-9 NLT
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Studying God’s Word comes with a promise, and it is also commanded of us.
The Holy Spirit inspires God’s Word. And God’s Word gives us the instruction that we need to get along in this world.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
Why do I say, “Be careful, Christian!”?
I say this because it is easy to lead astray by high-minded ideals. The wisdom of this world is based on the picture of success, which can be made very attractive.
For us as Christians, we need to keep our minds on the things of heaven, and these ideas are only found in the Bible.
Colossians 3:2-3 NLT
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your Word. I pray for the unquenchable desire to know You, intimately, through Your Word.
I pray that Your Word will change my mind, shape my attitudes, and give me the desire to serve You with humility.
I thank You for the people in my life, and I pray that I have the Spirit of compassion for those around me. Please give me the discernment to recognize the needs and the willingness to do something about these needs.
In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!! 🙏❤️
