The Spirit-Filled Life Is God’s Will for You
Many Christians struggle to know God’s will for their lives, but the Bible makes it clear: God wants you to be Spirit-filled. This is not about a one-time emotional experience, but it’s about daily living under the guidance, power, and control of the Holy Spirit. When you are Spirit-filled, you live with supernatural wisdom, strength, and joy that you cannot produce on your own.
1. The Biblical Command to Be Spirit-Filled
- Ephesians 5:17–18 – “So then, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit.”

Stephen – Acts 6:5; 7:55
Stephen was “full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom” when he was chosen to serve in the early church. Nonetheless, as he faced death, he spoke with boldness, forgave his killers, and saw the glory of God.
Peter – Acts 4:8
Peter, once afraid to admit knowing Jesus, became a fearless preacher after being filled with the Holy Spirit, boldly proclaiming the Gospel to those who had the power to kill him.
Paul – Acts 13:9–10
Paul, filled with the Spirit, confronted false teachers and proclaimed the truth with authority and courage.
4. How to Be Filled with the Spirit
- Surrender Completely to God – Romans 12:1 – “Present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice…”

- Letting God’s Word shape your daily decisions, not social media trends.
- Responding to hostility with love and grace.
- Living with courage when biblical convictions are unpopular.
- Using your spiritual gifts to serve others faithfully.
