Revelation 7:17 NLT
For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
“He will lead them to springs of life-giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
What a great promise…
God chooses us; he will lead us to the “springs of life-giving water,” which is the Word of God.
We came to this “spring” through the faithful witness of another faithful believer.
And we are called to be a faithful witness to attract the other “chosen” people, and they are out there waiting for us to show up.
Romans 10:14-15 NLT
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”
What am I doing to tell others about the “good news”?
1. Are my attitudes, thoughts, heart, and actions in line with the will of the Father?
This can be measured by the fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5.
Galatians 5:22-23 NLT
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
If we are not experiencing any of these attributes, we need to examine that area in our hearts and bring it before the throne of God with a submissive heart ❤️.
2. We need to engage the world around us, not confirm but engage.
Luke 8:16-18 NLT
“No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. “So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”
Let your light shine in the world. You are a beacon, a lighthouse that needs to be bright so that those around you know that you are a “child of God” there should be no doubt in the mind of others.
Look at Luke 8:16, “So pay attention to HOW you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But to those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”
We need to guard our minds against the “I know” virus. This is when we are confronted with scripture struggling with the message, and say to others or ourselves, “I know, I know!!”
The only way we “know” anything is when it becomes manifest in our lives.
And when that light goes on it will never go out.
3. We need to bathe our minds in the “life-giving” water daily and as often daily as reasonably possible as we engage the world around us, realizing that our life needs to produce fruit for our family, employer, neighborhood, and church.
This will also enforce our witness to the world around us.
John 15:13 NLT
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Heavenly Father, thank You for this wonderful opportunity to serve You and those around me.
I ask You to keep my heart and mind submitted and humble before You.
I desire to know You and your character’s depth and Your ability and willingness to love those around me.
I pray that Your word will shape my mind and influence my heart ❤️ in a way that results in a changed life.
A life that shines brightly as a witness to the change that Jesus Christ can make in a submitted heart.
I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!! 🙏❤️
