Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
Wait, what? Troubles should be considered an opportunity for great joy?
God uses our troubles as building blocks for our spiritual growth. As a matter of fact, if I am not facing some challenges, I feel I may not be pushing myself enough.
I never used to look at it this way. I used to fight against this, I used to pray for the situation and/or the other person to change in order for me to be content with the situation or problem.
I have come to understand that these situations are there for me… to grow spiritually.
– To learn
– To grow in grace
– To learn patience
– To learn how to be more compassionate
– To learn how to forgive
Heavenly Father, thank You for taking an interest in my spiritual growth. I pray that I face every challenge You present with a humble, submissive heart ❤️ that is open and teachable while glorifying You with my thoughts, my attitude and my actions. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!! 🙏❤️
