Do You Love Me

Do You Love Me? Jesus Restores Peter (John 21:1–19)

Peter denied Jesus three times beside a charcoal fire. After the Resurrection, Jesus meets him beside another. Three questions—”Do you love Me?”—bring Peter’s failure into the light, but not to condemn him. Jesus restores the broken disciple, entrusts him with His sheep, and says again, “Follow Me.”

Peter's First Denial

Jesus Before Annas: Peter’s First Denial (John 18:12–27)

John places two scenes side by side: inside, Jesus stands faithfully under hostile questioning; outside, Peter denies knowing Him beside a charcoal fire. The contrast reveals Christ’s courage, Peter’s weakness, and the painful truth that sincere devotion without dependence on God can collapse under pressure.
