1 Peter 3:8 NLT
Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.
Our desire to be ”right” should never come before the relationship.
The arguments and divisions in the church also come about over the ”how.” Satan is always about division based on a misunderstanding; he can twist God’s words better than anyone and does that all the time.
He did the with Jesus and will certainly do this with us.
Jesus’ defense was always the ”right” interpretation of God’s word.
And that should be ours as well.
Our job is to be in God’s word consistently in the Spirit of humility while asking God to speak clearly to us about the meaning of the words, and we should also ask for the courage to apply these words to our lives.
We are to make ”allowances” for each other, to give others space to learn at their pace, the pace that God has sovereign control over.
If you are concerned about how another believer is living out their faith, make sure your life is the shining example of how that area should be lived. If it is not, it will be met with a lot of resistance and resentment.
When you do approach them, make sure it is with a humble and supportive Spirit realizing with confidence that the result is always soundly in the hands of God. And will end up the way God wants it, which will be far better than our limited imagination.
Amen!! 🙏🏻❤️
