I remember when she gave me that Bible. It was one of my most cherished days. I remember laying in the living room, reading it for hours. Even at eight years old, I knew there was power in the words of that book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As life would have, I would spend time in the Bible, and then I would spend time when I wasn’t in the Bible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I knew about Jesus Christ but I wasn’t following Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This went on for the better part of about 4o years, and one day I decided that I was going to read the Bible every day and never put that book down again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thinking this would be the answer to my immediate problems, my life gradually got worse to the point where I wanted to kill myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By God’s grace, that did not happen, and I started to follow Jesus Christ and I am thrilled to say that I have read the Bible every day from that decision till now and continue to do so every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fast forward to this year, 2020, I was continuing to read as normal, and as I was reading, the Spirit started to prompt me to write. Ideas started to form in my mind; verses started to make sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My mind started to make connection between verses and I started to write.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the result of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am going back through my writings and posting them on this blog. These are the thoughts that have been working themselves out in my mind while reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#1 I hope that the thoughts that I have glorify God in every way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#2 I hope they encourage others to walk closer with Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
#3 I hope that if I am in error in my thinking regarding specific ideas about the scripture, someone reads them and leaves comments to clarify my understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
