Acts 2:12-15 NLT
They stood there amazed and perplexed. \u201cWhat can this mean?\u201d they asked each other. But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, \u201cThey\u2019re just drunk, that\u2019s all!\u201d Then Peter stepped forward with the eleven other apostles and shouted to the crowd, \u201cListen carefully, all of you, fellow Jews and residents of Jerusalem! Make no mistake about this. These people are not drunk, as some of you are assuming. Nine o\u2019clock in the morning is much too early for that.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201dThey’re just drunk, that’s all!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two times in Acts, this was the response to the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this instance and with Paul, when he was on trial, Peter\u2019s response is, \u201dMake no mistake about this. These people are not drunk…\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul was called insane by Festus, even worse, Paul\u2019s response, \u201dWhat I am saying is THE sober truth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is brought to my attention that I am a serious guy when it comes to my faith, and that is \u201dsober truth,\u201d<\/strong> weighed with a healthy expectation that God is doing what only He can do, and that is softening the hearts of His chosen, my job is to be that witness with my life out there as a beacon, a lighthouse, to help bring them in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we live our lives in a manner that pleases God, He can use that to soften hard hearts, and He wants to use our lives for that very purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time is short, and the time is at hand; we look at the struggles we face in this world, and there is only one solution, and that is Jesus Christ and make no mistake, He is coming. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
