But Jesus wasn\u2019t there to fit in\u2014He came to&nbsp;<strong>fulfill all righteousness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\u201cAllow it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.\u201d <em>(Matthew 3:15 NASB)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Here\u2019s the truth:&nbsp;<strong>Obedience won\u2019t always make sense to others<\/strong>. Your calling might confuse people. But if it\u2019s God\u2019s will, it\u2019s the right path. Jesus models what it means to obey the Father\u2014even when respected voices hesitate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Action Step:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0What has God asked you to do that others may not understand? Take the step anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-heaven-responds-to-obedience\"><strong>Heaven Responds to Obedience<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\u201cAfter He was baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened\u2026\u201d <em>(Matthew 3:16a NASB)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The heavens&nbsp;<strong>didn\u2019t open while Jesus was thinking about obedience<\/strong>. Jesus flipped that mindset:&nbsp;<strong>obedience first, affirmation after<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Action Step:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Trust God enough to take action before you receive the confirmation. The affirmation may be waiting on your obedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-this-means-for-us-in-2025\"><strong>What This Means for Us in 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In today\u2019s world:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">We chase visibility before obedience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">We seek approval before surrender.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">We avoid the water if we think we\u2019ve earned the spotlight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">But the&nbsp;<strong>Baptism of Jesus<\/strong>&nbsp;teaches us a better way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Serve before leading.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Obey before understanding.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Submit before being seen.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">It\u2019s in the quiet, obedient moments that&nbsp;<strong>Heaven opens<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Spirit descends<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Father affirms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Practical Challenge<\/strong>:<\/em>\u00a0Write out one area where you\u2019ve delayed obedience. This week, take a step toward doing it\u2014even if you don\u2019t have all the answers yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-final-reflection\"><strong>Final Reflection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Father, help me follow the example of Jesus. Give me a heart that doesn\u2019t demand recognition, but craves righteousness. Teach me to walk in humility, to obey when it\u2019s uncomfortable, and to trust You to speak identity over me. Open the heavens over my life as I walk in step with Your will.
