This isn\u2019t just a warning\u2014it\u2019s a&nbsp;<strong>wake-up call<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Let\u2019s break it down and discover how we can live for&nbsp;<strong>what truly lasts<\/strong>&nbsp;in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-who-is-jesus-speaking-to\"><strong>Who Is Jesus Speaking To?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus continues speaking to His followers\u2014people of all backgrounds, including some living in poverty and others with means. But He\u2019s not just speaking about economics. He\u2019s confronting the&nbsp;<strong>attachment of the heart<\/strong>&nbsp;to earthly wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-jesus-said-matthew-6-19-24-nasb\"><strong>What Jesus Said: Matthew 6:19\u201324 (NASB)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>19\u00a0\u201cDo not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20\u00a0But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21\u00a0for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22\u00a0\u201cThe eye is the lamp of the body; so then, if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. 23\u00a0But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. You cannot serve God and wealth.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-earthly-treasure-is-temporary\"><strong>Earthly Treasure Is Temporary<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\u201cDo not store up for yourselves treasures on earth\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Earthly wealth is always vulnerable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Moths<\/strong>\u00a0eat fabric.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Rust<\/strong>\u00a0corrodes tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Thieves<\/strong>\u00a0steal possessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus isn\u2019t saying it\u2019s wrong to have resources\u2014He\u2019s saying it\u2019s foolish to&nbsp;<strong>make them your treasure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Action Step:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Inventory your \u201ctreasures.\u201d Are you investing more in things that will fade\u2014or things that will last?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-heavenly-treasure-is-eternal\"><strong>Heavenly Treasure Is Eternal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\u201cStore up for yourselves treasures in heaven\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus invites us to invest in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Acts of love<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Generosity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Faithfulness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Kingdom work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">These investments can\u2019t be stolen, corroded, or canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">They echo in eternity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Action Step:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Look at your budget, time, and attention. Start&nbsp;<strong>investing in His Kingdom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Action Step:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Make a sacrificial gift this week\u2014not out of guilt, but to realign your heart with Heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-focus-determines-clarity\"><strong>Focus Determines Clarity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\u201cThe eye is the lamp of the body\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus uses the eye as a metaphor for&nbsp;<strong>spiritual focus<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A \u201cclear eye\u201d means your vision is&nbsp;<strong>heavenly and generous<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A \u201cbad eye\u201d means your vision is&nbsp;<strong>greedy, distracted, or darkened<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">If your spiritual lens is cloudy,&nbsp;<strong>your whole inner life is affected<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Action Step:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Ask: \u201cWhat\u2019s clouding my spiritual focus?\u201d Fast from distractions. Refocus on the eternal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-god-or-money-you-can-t-serve-both\"><strong>God or Money? You Can\u2019t Serve Both<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\u201cNo one can serve two masters\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus doesn\u2019t say,&nbsp;<em>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to serve both.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">He says,&nbsp;<strong>\u201cYou can\u2019t.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">You will love one and hate the other. There\u2019s no neutral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In 2025, where materialism is marketed 24\/7, Jesus\u2019 words still demand a choice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>God\u2026 or money?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em><strong>Action Step:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Make a declaration this week: \u201cGod is my Master\u2014not money.\u201d Then make one decision that proves it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mood-of-the-scene\"><strong>Mood of the Scene<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Challenging but deeply liberating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus isn\u2019t condemning wealth\u2014He\u2019s calling us to&nbsp;<strong>freedom from enslavement to it<\/strong>. He\u2019s inviting us to&nbsp;<strong>a focused life, led by light and love<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-response-from-the-people\"><strong>Response from the People<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">For many, these words pierced the heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Some realized their hearts were too attached to things that wouldn\u2019t last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">But others leaned in\u2014because Jesus wasn\u2019t just tearing down. He was offering&nbsp;<strong>a better treasure and a better Master<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-this-means-for-us-in-2025\"><strong>What This Means for Us in 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In a world chasing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">More money,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">More possessions,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">More status\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus still offers something more fulfilling:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>A life of focus, freedom, and eternal fruitfulness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-real-world-applications\"><strong>Real-World Applications:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Tithe or give to something eternal this week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Reduce one unnecessary expense and redirect it to God\u2019s work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Clean out physical clutter and donate with intention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Declutter your heart\u2014renounce comparison and discontentment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Set financial goals based on Kingdom impact, not just personal gain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-final-prayer\"><strong>Final Prayer<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Father, I want my treasure to be in Heaven\u2014not in things that rust and fade. Help me release my grip on temporary comforts and refocus my eyes on what truly matters. You are my Master. Let my heart, habits, and finances reflect that truth.
