But Jesus assures us\u2014He sees it all, and&nbsp;<strong>He\u2019s not done yet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In the&nbsp;<strong>Parable of the Weeds<\/strong>, Jesus explains why evil exists alongside good\u2014and how we should respond in faith, not frustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-matthew-13-24-30-nasb-2020\"><strong>Matthew 13:24\u201330 (NASB 2020)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><strong>24<\/strong>\u00a0Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, \u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. <strong>25<\/strong>\u00a0But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and left. <strong>26<\/strong>\u00a0And when the wheat sprouted and produced grain, then the weeds also became evident. <strong>27<\/strong>\u00a0And the slaves of the landowner came and said to him, \u2018Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?\u2019 <strong>28<\/strong>\u00a0And he said to them, \u2018An enemy has done this!\u2019 The slaves said to him, \u2018Do you want us to go and gather them up?\u2019 <strong>29<\/strong>\u00a0But he said, \u2018No; while you are gathering up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. <strong>30<\/strong>\u00a0Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, \u201cFirst gather up the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.\u201d\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-who-was-jesus-speaking-to\"><strong>Who Was Jesus Speaking To?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">A\u00a0<strong>mixed crowd<\/strong>\u2014both curious listeners and committed followers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Disciples<\/strong>\u00a0who would later receive a more profound understanding (vv. 36\u201343)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Us<\/strong>, in 2025\u2014living in a world filled with both faith and falsehood<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-happened\"><strong>What Happened?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus tells a story about a farmer who sows good wheat. But while everyone is asleep, an enemy sows&nbsp;<strong>weeds<\/strong>&nbsp;(often interpreted as tares, which closely resemble wheat).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">When both sprout, it becomes obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The servants want to pull the weeds immediately\u2014but the master says&nbsp;<strong>wait<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"\"><em>\u201cLet both grow together until the harvest\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The separation will come, but&nbsp;<strong>in God\u2019s timing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-mood-patient-just-prophetic\"><strong>The Mood: Patient, Just, Prophetic<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">This parable doesn\u2019t sugarcoat the presence of evil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Instead, it offers&nbsp;<strong>perspective<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>patience<\/strong>, and a promise of&nbsp;<strong>final justice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-principle-evil-will-be-dealt-with-but-not-always-on-our-timeline\"><strong>The Principle: Evil Will Be Dealt With\u2014But Not Always on Our Timeline<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We often ask:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">\u201cWhy doesn\u2019t God stop this?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">\u201cWhy does evil go unpunished?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">\u201cWhy is there hypocrisy in the Church?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus answers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>God sees. God knows. And God will separate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">But uprooting too early could harm the wheat\u2014<strong>those who are truly His<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-this-means-for-us-in-2025\"><strong>What This Means for Us in 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In today\u2019s world:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">There\u2019s a mixture of truth and deception<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Genuine believers and counterfeit faith coexist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Injustice seems rampant while righteousness appears slow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">But Jesus is still the&nbsp;<strong>Lord of the Harvest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">He\u2019s not idle\u2014He\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>merciful<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>patient<\/strong>, and ultimately&nbsp;<strong>just<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Our job isn\u2019t to do the separating. It\u2019s to&nbsp;<strong>keep growing<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>stay fruitful<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>trust His timing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-action-steps-for-today\"><strong>Action Steps for Today<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Stop trying to separate the wheat and the weeds.<\/strong>\u00a0That\u2019s not your job\u2014it\u2019s God\u2019s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Stay focused on your growth.<\/strong>\u00a0Be wheat, not worried.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Don\u2019t be discouraged by evil.<\/strong>\u00a0Its presence is not proof of God\u2019s absence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Remain rooted in the Word.<\/strong>\u00a0Let your life prove your identity in Christ.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Pray for mercy.<\/strong>\u00a0Until the harvest comes, there\u2019s still time for some weeds to become wheat through the Gospel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-final-prayer\"><strong>Final Prayer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Lord of the Harvest, thank You for sowing good seed in the world and in my heart. Help me stay faithful when I see evil all around. Teach me to trust Your timing, not take judgment into my own hands. Let me grow, bear fruit, and shine until the day You return.
