Writing to&nbsp;<strong>Theophilus and all who desire certainty concerning Jesus Christ<\/strong>, Luke answers two questions that would shape the future of the Church:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Did Jesus truly rise bodily from the dead?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And what did the risen Christ commission His followers to do?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are not separate questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Church&#8217;s mission is built upon the historical reality of the Resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If Christ has not risen, there is no Gospel to proclaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If Christ has risen, the Gospel must be proclaimed to the ends of the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luke now connects those two truths forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Luke 24:36-49 NASB<br>While they were telling these things, He Himself stood in their midst and said to them, &#8220;Peace be to you.&#8221; But they were startled and frightened and thought that they were seeing a spirit. And He said to them, &#8220;Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.&#8221; And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. While they still could not believe it because of their joy and amazement, He said to them, &#8220;Have you anything here to eat?&#8221; They gave Him a piece of a broiled fish; and He took it and ate it before them. Now He said to them, &#8220;These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.&#8221; Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, &#8220;Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-key-focus-of-the-passage-and-jesus-character\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Focus of the Passage and Jesus&#8217; Character<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The focus is&nbsp;<strong>the bodily resurrection of Christ, the fulfillment of Scripture, the universal mission of the Gospel, and the promise of the Holy Spirit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus reveals Himself as&nbsp;<strong>the risen King, the fulfillment of Scripture, the Sender of His Church, and the Savior whose message is for every nation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He does not simply comfort His disciples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He prepares them to change the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-people-in-the-interaction\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The People in the Interaction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This interaction includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Jesus<\/strong>, the risen Lord<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>The eleven apostles<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Emmaus disciples<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Other believers gathered in Jerusalem<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-what-happened-in-the-scene\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Happened in the Scene<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the Emmaus disciples are describing their encounter with Jesus, He suddenly stands among the gathered believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His first words are simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Peace be to you.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of rejoicing, the disciples are terrified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They believe they are seeing a spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus gently asks why they are troubled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He invites them to examine His hands and His feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then He says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still struggling to believe because of overwhelming joy, the disciples watch as Jesus asks for something to eat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They give Him a piece of broiled fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He eats it before them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Resurrection is not merely spiritual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus has truly risen in a glorified body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then Jesus teaches them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He reminds them that everything written about Him in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The Law of Moses,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Prophets,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Psalms,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">must be fulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luke then records one of the most significant statements in the Gospel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus explains that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The Messiah had to suffer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">He had to rise from the dead on the third day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Repentance for the forgiveness of sins must be proclaimed in His name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, He promises that the Father will send what was promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until then, they are to remain in Jerusalem, clothed with power from on high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gospel ends by looking forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Acts is about to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-deep-theology-of-the-bodily-resurrection\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Deep Theology of the Bodily Resurrection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luke goes to extraordinary lengths to show that Jesus&#8217; Resurrection is physical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because false ideas began appearing almost immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some claimed Jesus merely appeared spiritually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Others suggested His followers experienced visions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luke leaves no room for those explanations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus is touched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus speaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And Jesus walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus eats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His Resurrection body is glorified, yet genuinely physical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This matters because Christianity proclaims the redemption of the whole person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God does not abandon creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He redeems it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christ&#8217;s Resurrection becomes the pattern for the future resurrection of every believer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The empty tomb is not merely proof that Jesus lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is the first evidence of God&#8217;s coming renewal of all creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-peace-be-to-you\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;Peace Be to You&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are not merely comforting words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Throughout Scripture, peace means far more than the absence of conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biblical peace\u2014<strong>shalom<\/strong>\u2014means wholeness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reconciliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harmony with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice the timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus announces peace only after the Cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because peace with God has now been accomplished through His sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul later explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The greeting reflects the achievement of redemption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The war between sinful humanity and a holy God has been addressed through Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-open-minds-before-open-mouths\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Open Minds Before Open Mouths<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most overlooked statements in Luke is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This echoes the Emmaus Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before Jesus commissions His followers, He teaches them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before He sends them, He grounds them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And before He expects proclamation, He provides understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Church must never reverse this order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our mission is not built on enthusiasm alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is built on a right understanding of God&#8217;s Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sound doctrine fuels faithful mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knowledge without mission becomes stagnant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mission without truth becomes dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christ gives both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-entire-old-testament-points-to-christ\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Entire Old Testament Points to Christ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus again divides the Hebrew Scriptures into their traditional three sections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The Law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Prophets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Psalms (representing the Writings).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In doing so, He declares that&nbsp;<strong>the entire Old Testament bears witness to Him<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This statement becomes foundational for Christian interpretation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bible is not a collection of disconnected moral stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is one unified story of redemption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christ is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">the Seed promised in Genesis,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the Passover Lamb in Exodus,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the greater High Priest,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the true King,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the suffering Servant,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the Son of Man,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">and the coming Messiah.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every page ultimately leads to Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-it-was-necessary\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;It Was Necessary&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus says the Messiah&nbsp;<strong>had to suffer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luke has emphasized this repeatedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cross was never accidental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was necessary because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">God&#8217;s justice demanded payment for sin.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">God&#8217;s holiness required atonement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">God&#8217;s promises required fulfillment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">God&#8217;s love required redemption.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Resurrection likewise was necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Death could never permanently hold the Author of Life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-repentance-and-forgiveness\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Repentance and Forgiveness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus summarizes the Church&#8217;s message in remarkably simple language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gospel is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Repentance<\/strong> and <strong>Forgiveness of sins<\/strong> through His name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice what is absent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Political revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">National restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Economic reform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social advancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those may have value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But they are not the Church&#8217;s primary message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The central human problem is sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the central message is forgiveness through Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything else flows from reconciliation with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-beginning-in-jerusalem\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Beginning in Jerusalem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why begin in Jerusalem?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because Jerusalem represents both humanity&#8217;s greatest rejection and God&#8217;s greatest mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The city that crucified the Messiah becomes the city where forgiveness is first proclaimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grace begins at the place of greatest guilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That pattern continues throughout the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God&#8217;s mercy reaches the undeserving first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-witnesses\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Witnesses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus tells the disciples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;You are witnesses of these things.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A witness does not invent a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A witness reports what has been seen and heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christianity is rooted in historical testimony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The apostles are not philosophers speculating about spiritual ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are eyewitnesses declaring what God has done in history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-promise-of-the-father\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Promise of the Father<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before the mission begins, Jesus tells them to wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Power does not come from human ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It comes from the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luke intentionally ends his Gospel by anticipating Pentecost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same Spirit who empowered Jesus&#8217; earthly ministry will soon empower His Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Acts becomes the continuation of Jesus&#8217; work through His Spirit-filled people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-mood-and-tone\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mood and Tone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tone moves from&nbsp;<strong>fear \u2192 reassurance \u2192 understanding \u2192 commissioning \u2192 expectation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every stage reveals that the risen Christ transforms frightened followers into faithful ambassadors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-what-jesus-reveals\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Jesus Reveals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus reveals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">His bodily resurrection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The fulfillment of all Scripture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Peace with God.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The necessity of His suffering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The universal scope of the Gospel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The promise of the Holy Spirit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 order matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything the Church is called to do flows from everything Christ has already accomplished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That remains true today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our mission does not begin with our abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It begins with the risen Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His victory becomes our confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His Word becomes our foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And His Spirit becomes our strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His Gospel becomes our message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mission has never changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The risen King still sends His people into the world with the same announcement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repentance and forgiveness of sins are available through Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So the question becomes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Am I merely grateful that Christ rose from the dead\u2014or am I faithfully living as one of His witnesses, proclaiming the forgiveness that changed my own life to a world that desperately needs
