Our perseverance ultimately rests upon Christ’s preserving power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four times in John 6 Jesus repeats this promise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This assurance does not encourage spiritual complacency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It inspires grateful perseverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The believer continues following Christ not because he fears being abandoned, but because he has become convinced that Christ will never abandon him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John wants every weary believer to hear these words personally: “The one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
No failure surprises Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No weakness overwhelms Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And no sincere believer is forgotten by Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Shepherd who purchased His sheep with His own blood will not lose even one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That promise carries us through every season of doubt, suffering, and death itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
