{"id":4285,"date":"2026-09-24T06:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T10:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/standingfirminfaith.com\/blog\/?p=4285"},"modified":"2026-09-13T12:06:43","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T16:06:43","slug":"if-the-world-hates-you-john-15-18-27","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/standingfirminfaith.com\/blog\/if-the-world-hates-you-john-15-18-27\/","title":{"rendered":"If the World Hates You: Why Following Jesus Brings Opposition (John 15:18\u201327)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 id=\"h-the-audience-john-is-writing-to\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Audience John Is Writing To<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus has just given one of the most beautiful commands in all of Scripture: <strong>&#8220;Love one another as I have loved you.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The disciples might naturally assume that such love would be welcomed by everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus immediately removes that assumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The world that rejected Him will not suddenly embrace those who faithfully represent Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The transition is intentional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Love within the Church is followed by hostility from the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because believers now represent Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same world that rejected the Master will eventually reject many of His servants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus does not tell His disciples this to discourage them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He tells them so they will not be surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the greatest gifts Christ gives His followers is preparing them for reality before they experience it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>John 15:18-27 NASB<br>\u201cIf the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. [19] If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, \u2018A slave is not greater than his master.\u2019 If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they followed My word, they will follow yours also. But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. The one who hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well. But this has happened so that the word that is written in their Law will be fulfilled: \u2018They hated Me for no reason.\u2019 \u201cWhen the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me, and you are testifying as well, because you have been with Me from the beginning.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-key-focus-of-the-passage-and-jesus-character\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Focus of the Passage and Jesus&#8217; Character<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The focus is <strong>the world&#8217;s hatred of Christ and His followers, the believer&#8217;s identity as one chosen out of the world, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in bearing witness to Jesus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus reveals Himself as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">the rejected Messiah,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the faithful Teacher,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the sender of the Holy Spirit,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">and the One whose followers continue His witness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This passage teaches that opposition to Christ is ultimately spiritual rather than cultural or political.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-people-in-the-interaction\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The People in the Interaction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Jesus<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The eleven disciples<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The world<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Holy Spirit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The Father<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-what-happened-in-the-scene\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Happened in the Scene<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus warns His disciples: <strong>&#8220;If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He explains that if they belonged to the world, the world would love them as its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, Christ has chosen them out of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For that reason, the world hates them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus reminds them: <strong>&#8220;A slave is not greater than his master.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If people persecuted Jesus, they will persecute His followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If they rejected His teaching, they will reject the teaching of His disciples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus explains that this hostility ultimately springs from ignorance of the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Had He not come and spoken to them, they would not bear the same level of guilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now they have heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now they have seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their rejection is without excuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus then quotes the Psalms: <strong>&#8220;They hated Me without a cause.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, He promises: <strong>&#8220;When the Helper comes&#8230; He will testify about Me.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then He commissions the disciples: <strong>&#8220;You also will testify.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-deep-theology-of-opposition\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Deep Theology of Opposition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-if-the-world-hates-you\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;If the World Hates You&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice that Jesus says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;If&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet the context makes clear that this is not merely hypothetical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opposition will come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The important point is not that believers seek conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus never encourages a combative spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rather, faithful allegiance to Christ inevitably creates tension wherever darkness resists the Light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Christian does not create the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gospel exposes what already exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-what-does-john-mean-by-the-world\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Does John Mean by &#8220;The World&#8221;?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John uses the word <strong>world<\/strong> in several ways throughout his Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes it refers to: Humanity in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes: The created order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here it refers to humanity organized in rebellion against God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is the moral and spiritual system that resists Christ&#8217;s authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ironically, this is the same world that: <strong>&#8220;God so loved&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God loves the world enough to send His Son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The world responds by rejecting Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Christian is called to love the world as God does while refusing to adopt the world&#8217;s values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-hatred-begins-with-jesus\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hatred Begins With Jesus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus comforts His disciples by reminding them: <strong>&#8220;It hated Me before it hated you.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That changes everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Persecution is not ultimately personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Believers are opposed because they belong to Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This protects us from two opposite errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We should not assume every difficulty is persecution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neither should we take genuine persecution as proof that God has abandoned us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes faithful obedience naturally produces resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-chosen-out-of-the-world\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chosen Out of the World<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus says: <strong>&#8220;I chose you out of the world.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once again, John returns to God&#8217;s gracious initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The disciples still live in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet they no longer belong to its spiritual system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their citizenship has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their values have changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And their King has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Christian life is therefore marked by faithful presence without spiritual conformity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We remain in the world as witnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not as participants in its rebellion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-a-slave-is-not-greater-than-his-master\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;A Slave Is Not Greater Than His Master&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus reminds the disciples of something He has already taught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The servant shares the Master&#8217;s experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If Christ was misunderstood&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His followers should expect misunderstanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If Christ suffered&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His followers should expect suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not pessimism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is realism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The disciple does not follow a different road than the Teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cross comes before the crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-ignorance-of-the-father\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ignorance of the Father<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus makes a startling statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The world&#8217;s rejection of Him reveals that it does not truly know the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes deeply religious people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knowledge about God is not identical with knowing God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Father is perfectly revealed in the Son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, rejecting Christ ultimately means rejecting the Father who sent Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This continues one of John&#8217;s strongest themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-greater-responsibility\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Greater Responsibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus says: <strong>&#8220;If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no excuse.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus is not saying people were previously sinless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rather, His coming dramatically increases responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Greater revelation brings greater accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To reject the clearest revelation of God is to bear greater guilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Light has come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Darkness is now a chosen response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-they-hated-me-without-a-cause\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;They Hated Me Without a Cause&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus quotes Psalm 69.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">David suffered unjustly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His experience foreshadowed Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus had committed no sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Performed only acts of mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spoke only truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yet He was hated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John reminds us that righteousness has often been opposed throughout redemptive history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cross was not evidence that Jesus failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It fulfilled Scripture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-ministry-of-the-holy-spirit\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Ministry of the Holy Spirit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus again speaks of: <strong>&#8220;The Helper.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notice the Spirit&#8217;s primary ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He testifies: <strong>&#8220;About Me.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Holy Spirit never seeks attention for Himself.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>He glorifies Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>He points people to the Son.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any ministry claiming to be centered upon the Spirit while consistently drawing attention away from Christ contradicts the very purpose Jesus assigns to the Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Spirit&#8217;s greatest work is making Christ known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-you-also-will-testify\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;You Also Will Testify&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus immediately joins the Spirit&#8217;s testimony with the disciples&#8217; testimony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Spirit does not replace human witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He empowers it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The apostles had walked with Jesus from the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They would soon proclaim what they had seen and heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their witness becomes the foundation of the New Testament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Church continues that witness today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not invent a new message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We faithfully proclaim the same Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-love-and-opposition\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Love and Opposition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is significant that Jesus places this teaching immediately after commanding believers to love one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Church&#8217;s internal love prepares it for external hostility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stronger our love for one another becomes&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The more faithfully we can endure opposition without becoming fearful, bitter, or hateful ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Christian love is not merely pleasant fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is preparation for faithful witness in a world that often misunderstands the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-mood-and-tone\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mood and Tone<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tone moves from <strong>warning \u2192 explanation \u2192 encouragement \u2192 commissioning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus prepares His disciples not only to endure opposition but to continue faithfully bearing witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-what-jesus-reveals\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Jesus Reveals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus reveals Himself as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">the rejected Messiah,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the faithful Master,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the sender of the Holy Spirit,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">the perfect revelation of the Father,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">and the One whose followers continue His mission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-response-of-others\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Response of Others<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-the-world\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The World<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It continues rejecting Christ because it remains in rebellion against God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-the-disciples\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Disciples<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are prepared to endure opposition while continuing their witness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-the-holy-spirit\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Holy Spirit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He faithfully testifies concerning Christ through the lives and message of believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-the-lesson-for-us-in-2026\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Lesson for Us in 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-1-faithful-christians-should-not-be-surprised-by-opposition\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Faithful Christians Should Not Be Surprised by Opposition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus lovingly prepared His followers for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-2-our-identity-has-changed\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Our Identity Has Changed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We remain in the world but no longer belong to its rebellious system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-3-opposition-is-ultimately-about-christ\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. The Holy Spirit Always Points to Jesus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His ministry consistently magnifies Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-5-every-believer-is-called-to-bear-witness\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
