'However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. ' 1 Peter 4:16

How You Live Speaks So Loudly, We Can’t Hear What You Say

1 Peter 2:12 NLT
Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.

There is no greater witness to our unbelieving neighbors than a life lived in God’s will

“A changed life can help change lives.”

We have a chose…

We can take the Bible and use it as a magnifying glass and condemn the world and those around us.

Or even worse, we can fool ourselves, not even reading the Bible, and judge the world around us based on our opinions of what we think the Bible says.

Or..

We can use the Bible as a mirror and let it show us how we must live in front of others, fully knowing that God will handle all the judging and justice for this fallen world.

James 1:23-25 NLT
For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

We are called to be as a “light of the world”, a beacon of hope, shining the light of Jesus Christ in our hearts.

Matthew 5:14-16 NLT
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Heavenly Father, help me understand Your ways. I thank You for the grace and forgiveness You bestowed upon me and I pray that You give me the wisdom and ability to see others the same way You do, with compassion and open arms, waiting and encouraging those around me to willingly accept the Savior.

I thank You for the trials You provide for me to grow, I pray that You give me the courage and willingness to keep my heart open to the prompting of Your Spirit.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!! 🙏🏻❤️
