'Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. ' John 15:13

The Way You Work Will Stand As A Testimony To Those Who You Work With, Is What You Do Worthy Of Following?

Galatians 6:4-5 NLT
Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.

“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done.”

No matter where you are and what you are doing, it is important, as a Christian, to be mindful of the work you are doing. It doesn’t matter if it is at home, work, or the church.

Colossians 3:23 NLT
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Sometimes, we tend to look at the work of those around us, comparing our efforts against those around us.

The problem with this is that this takes away the effectiveness of our efforts and does not glorify God.

Our job, as Christians, is to focus on our efforts making sure that we are using the God-given talents that we have to accomplish the most we can for God’s glory.

When we focus on the efforts of those around us in a comparing manner, we tend to do this to lift ourselves while looking down on the efforts of others.

Instead:

1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

When we focus on our talents, bringing them to bear on the world around and encouraging those around us to do the same, everyone wins.

When you focus on your efforts, “you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.”

“For we are each responsible for our own conduct.”

When we get to the end of our lives, we will stand before Jesus and give an account of what we have done with what God has given us.

We will give an account for every thought, every word, and everything that we have done.

Matthew 12:36-37 NLT
And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.

Romans 14:12-13 NLT
Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

2 Corinthians 5:10 NLT
For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Here’s the good news, Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. He rose from the dead after three days and is seated at the right hand of God. And anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

And because of this calling, we are no longer a slave to sin. We no longer have to compare our efforts to the efforts of others.

We can reach out to those around us with this hope and offer the lifeline that Jesus provided for us.

And we get to do this because of what Jesus did for us.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for what You have done for me. I pray that I extend the same forgiveness and grace to those around me.

I pray that You give me a greater desire to be in Your Word and that You open my eyes to the revelation of Your Word.

I pray for the hearts of those around me, and I pray that those around me get to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I thank You for those around me and pray that I look on them with hope and compassion and that I respond with unfailing love for all who ask for my help.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!! 🙏❤️
