'Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ ' Matthew 22:37

Who is the Best Prospect For Our Message? The Person Seeking Our Message

‘Don’t carry a traveler’s bag with a change of clothes and sandals or even a walking stick. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve to be fed. “Don’t take any money in your money belts—no gold, silver, or even copper coins. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received! Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near but only to the people of Israel—God’s lost sheep. Jesus sent out the twelve apostles with these instructions: “Don’t go to the Gentiles or the Samaritans, ‘ Matthew 10:5-10

He sent them out with only the clothes on their back.

He told them to graciously accept hospitality.

He told them to look for a “worthy person” to stay with and “bless” their home. If it turns out to be a “worthy” home, let the blessing stand.

If the message is refused, stand there toe to toe and argue with them until they are converted? No, No, No…

‘If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. ‘ Matthew 10:14

He said if they “refuse to welcome or listen to your message”, you are to “shake the dust from your feet as you leave.”

I’m guessing, He didn’t want them to carry that type of encounter with them into the next, to the point of even getting rid of the dust from their feet.

God, from the beginning, has always wanted our willing worship because of who He is. It would have been easy for Him to create us to live in lock step to His will, but He chose to give us the “dignity of chose”.

When the Lord softens our heart ❤️ to the point where we have no choice but to call on the name of Jesus, and we seek out His will and rely on Him for everything, He can now do His work through us.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your patience, grace and forgiveness. I thank You for the precious, unearned gift of Jesus Christ. I pray to be used by You as a “living sacrifice” to live my life in Jesus Christ with a humble, submissive and willing heart. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen!! 🙏❤️

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
