Do You Run From Your Troubles? Here is the Reason that it is Better to Stand Firm

Romans 5:3-5 NLT
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Trails are God ordained circumstances created for our spiritual growth.

Several times in the epistles of Peter and James and here in Romans, we are called to “rejoice” when we run into problems and trials.

1 Peter 1:6-7 NLT
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

James 1:2-4 NLT
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

I have heard it said on many occasions by my Pastor, “Where there is no mess, there is no ministry.”

The problems and trials, we and others face are put there to develop our endurance, which ultimately develops our “strength of character” which strengthens “our confident hope of salvation.”

And this hope will not lead to disappointment because He fills us with the Love of the Holy Spirit. And that kind of love is best described here:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Thank You, Heavenly Father that Your love for us is unconditional, I pray that You help me to learn how to love others this way. Amen!! 🙏❤️

  1. Yes you’re right!

We can’t keep running away from our problems. And besides our problems are supposed to make us stronger.

My pastor once said that problems in our lives represent sowing time and the way we deal with them are our harvest time. So it’s better to rejoice in it and take no offence with our problems but rather give God praise so our harvest can be full.

    Thanks for sharing❤
